Choose Happy

Image
I don't know about you but for me it's a WHOLE LOT easier to choose "Happy" on Saturdays than some days during the week, LOL!   I like my job but some weeks are just more work than others.

But Today ... YAY!  It's time for another SOTM Blog Hop.  If you're hopping along, you just came from Maria's Blog.  If you get lost along the way,  HERE is the complete list.

This week I decided to use "scraps on the desk" for my cards".  They were left overs from scrap pages I completed.   Here's some fun with "Chalk It Up",  both layout and cards

.I had a great time using these stamped frames and I'm sure you will too!   This card sketch is  MOJO Monday #385. If you follow my blog you know I also posted "Sneak Peeks" of one of the frames earlier in the week ... .

Thanks for stopping by.  Choose Happy and Hop on over to Pricilla's Blog!

Beep, beep it's your Birthday!

Image
Hello Friday!  It's time to play along with our Color My Heart Color Challenge #131.  This week we're playing with Outdoor Denim, Honey, Sunset, Olive and White!  Come play along!

It worked perfectly for a Birthday Card for a little guy that I needed.  Didn't want to add too much extra's as I was worried if he would pull them off, LOL.  You know 3 year old boys ... this is sketch from Sketch Saturday #347.

Have fun!

Thinking of you

Image
Unfortunately, this week I needed a sympathy card so I decided to make 2 and also make a 'thinking of you".  I used the recent Viva La Verve Feb Week #3.  I was trying to keep the colors basic and thanks to the ladies atH2H for the Week 3 "enTWINEd" challenge,  I got out my new twine from the Seasonal Expressions - Flaxen.   Yup, I hadn't used it yet but I really liked it and I'm sure I'll add it to more projects.

Hope your week is going well.

Come on Spring!

Image
It's almost March which means the official start to Spring!  After such bitter cold temps,  I'm ready now!  It's ok with me if Spring comes early, LOL!

I think the DT at Cute Card Thursday #361 and Sweet Stampin' were thinking the same thing because their challenge  for this week was to use flowers.  I also used the sketch from CAS(E)#111 for the design.

Scrappin' Weekend Feb #3

Image
Well, one good thing about cold and snowy weather,  there's no where or reason to go out in it so I had another fun weekend of stampin' and scrappin'!   I guess January and February are good times for getting a lot done.

One of the layouts I finished up this weekend was this week'sLet's Scrap Sketch 021815.   When I first saw the sketch, I was going to make a card but I had already made several cards from "card sketches" this weekend so I really wanted to scrap the picts on my desk.  As soon as I pulled out these pictures,  I knew they would be perfect for this sketch with one photo 5x7.   This is my youngest DS and he's wonderfully unique!   I love how this page turned out,  of course,  I did a 2nd to go along with the sketch.

Scrap on!

Woohoo!  This card is for a very special little girl,  I think she's 9.  I do know though her favorite color is Yellow so I wanted to be sure to use lots.   The card sketch inspiration is this week's Freshly Make Sketches #174.   It worked perfectly for the fun stripes of washi tape.

This is also another {sneak peek} for the March 1 (Sunday) CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Choose Happy!   Be sure to stop back by and check out the fun ideas for these cute frame stamps.

Snowflakes

Happy Sunday!   What a blessed day of rest and relaxation before a very, very busy week.  It was a weekend filled with cold and a lot more snow.   When I saw this sentiment,  it made me think of this week's Word Art Wednesday #171 verse, Mark 12:30.  "Love the Lord your God with all your heart..."  It reminded me that even snowflakes are a beautiful part of creation and love from God to us.  I had a much better appreciation for them today and I watched them come down.  This cute card inspiration is from this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches #288 CTMH Supplies:  Paper Heartstrings, Stamps C1506 Flakey Friends, Ink Slate, Ruby, Juniper, Ruby Chevron Waship Tape, Stuck on You Puffies

Enjoying Saturday

{pssst....this is a sneak peak} ....

be sure to check back next Sunday for our "Choose Happy" SOTM blog hop!   I just couldn't resist though using this cute frame for my card.   Using up some scraps from the Valentine paper I had out for scrapping my Valentine Photos.  I love the colors so it was fun to use the rest for a card.

This fun card inspiration is this week's MOJO Monday #385.  I cut an additional frame to for a mask to include the flowers for this week's challenge at Addicted to CAS #57

Just Chillin'

Image
"Baby, it's COLD Outside"!!  My card is inspired by the song with the same title for this week's Sweet Stampin' Challenge.  Brrr.... these negative temperatures gotta go ... wow!  Here in Northeast Ohio this is the 2nd coldest temp recorded in 20 years .... we don't like those kind of records, LOL.

Well, TGIF!   I hope you get to stay in and stamp / scrap this weekend.  I know that's my plan here.  We're celebrating Friday at Color My Heart Color Dare #130 with a WHISPER and WHITE challenge this week!   I used the CAS(E) #111 Sketch for Inspiration.

Stay In, Stay Warm, Stay Safe and Stamp!

Still the One ...

Image
I have to admit, 27 years later and my DH is still the one I would choose to marry again.  Oh sure, we have moments but he's really good to me.  He always has been. In this bad weather,  he goes out every morning and cleans off my car not to mention  salts and scrapes the walk so it's easy to get there.  He watches the weather for me and keeps me posted.   I just decided before February was over completely,  he deserved one more Valentine.  I'd been wanting to cut out that cute little "You + Me" from the Artbooking Cartridge and here it is!

This inspiration came from this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch #95.

Of course,  I had enough pictures for 2 pages so here's the full layout

Thinking of you!

Image
Wow, it's cold and snowy here which makes for a GREAT weekend of stamping and scrapping.  Guess it's good in some ways as it makes staying home fun.  Looks like this week might be the same way and cancel out some business travel I have.  That's ok,  I'm ok to push it back ....

This card is for a team mate of mine that's out with some medical issues.  I loved using the CTMH Valentine paper but for a "Thinking of You card".   The sketch is this week's MOJO Monday #384 and I've been wanting to use this cricut cut and it was the perfect time for the Paper Players Challenge #232 this week.

Hope you had a fun weekend!

Countdown to Valetine -- My Valentine

Image
Happy Valentines Day!  All the fun hearts and cupids we've enjoyed the last week plus have brought us to Valentines 2015!  YAY!   I've celebrated with my DH Valentine now for 27 years.  We always have a special day together doing the little things that bring smiles.   He always gets me BEAUTIFUL flowers and some dark chocolate and I make his faves for dinner and try to get him a treat that goes with his after dinner coffee.   I'm always amazed that after all these years he tells me his favorite part is the card I make for him,  awww....he's a keeper.   I hope you enjoyed your day as well.  I also love that I get to make all these fun Valentines with the beautiful papers and fun embellishments from CTMH.  It's just so awesome to have stamps, papers and cricut cartridges to enhance the cards and pages I like to complete.  Check out the CTMH Love over at H2H Challenge this week.

This Inspiration was from a sketch at scrapbook.com for the February Card Challenge!

Keeping my thoughts off the cold and snow hitting again with staying busy in the craft room tonight.  There are just SO many fun ideas out for Valentine cards ... DH says I have enough "heart" cards to last for the next 20 years of Valentines but he doesn't get that the Countdown to Valentine Love is just a fun, crafty way to celebrate the holiday....

Here's my card for the 2nd half of Wednesday ... LOL!  It was inspired by the Challenge Team over at Atlantic Hearts #94 with this great sketch and the colors are from this week's Paper Players Challenge #231.  I also made this for the fun February Week 1 challenge at Heart 2 Heart Challenges - Home is Where the Heart Is.

Whoop, whoop...it's Wednesday!   As we like to say at my work "It's Almost Friday" ... of course, we start saying that on Monday.  We like to celebrate looking forward to Friday.  Today is also "whining Wednesday" and it's the only day we allow whining at the office...LOL.  Well, that's what we tell ourselves.   I'm not whining (yet) but it is cold here and that sure makes the day seem longer ...

This card is for my Coordinator at work.  She's WONDERFUL and very sweet.  It's perfect sentiment.  The inspiration came from this week's CAS(E) Sketch #109.It's also for the "add a heart" challenge at Sweet Stampin'

It's Tuesday and we're on our way to another fun Valentines Holiday 2015!  This week on my blog I'm celebrating with lots of hearts and the cute papers from CTMH which were all very fun colors again this year.

Today's inspiration comes from the fun Sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches #286.  The challenge verse this week at Word Art Wednesday #169 is I Corinthians 16:14.  "Let all your things be done with Charity (Love)".  This year I made several extra valentines to send as February 17 is RAK Day (Random Acts of Kindness) and I wanted to share some "thinking with you" wishes as a surprise for some family and friends.
